It's worth it if you get it cheap on sale like I did. Otherwise not. Obiviously inspired by Homeworld, with many of the same elelents. A fleet with a mothership, resource collectors, research, build a fleet and a long trip to a new home with many enemies along the way. However the execution is not nearly as good as Homeworld. The graphics are not as slick an the gameplay is not as good. The camera control is especially annoying as the zooming in and out is jumpy rather than smooth. Still this game helps scratch that space fleet RTS itch if only barely. Barely recommended if you get it cheap and really love space fleet RTS games.. This game so wants to be a Homeworld, but it's not...Pros:+ Homeworld-like gameplay (VERY big pluse)Cons:- Graphics (It's good for 2002, but not for 2015)- Sound (its mediocre)- UI (where is the stats? HP, damage, armor, attack range)- Controls are chopy (try Homeworld or O.R.B or Haegemonia)Verdict:Avoid this game or buy it when it goes -66%, -75% of price.. KISS... Keep It Simple Stupid... It's a simple space RTS for the casual gamer.. Boring, not enough content, Controls suck. current rating reflects that i see massive potential with this.... small changes like making actions more user friendly and visual confirmation of actions.... camera angles need a little work for zoom and movement and also music needs a little variance....as with others i agree its a bit like Homeworld which is why i purchased today.... but i wont be playing it again until further work has happened. The game has so much potential, don't get me wrong, the game is quite awesome, it just lacks quite a bit of polish to truly enhance it and make it an even better strategy game. The game has a few different factions to place as. Each has it's own goal but plays out in similar ways since you use the same basics of traveling through space from start to finish, so there are unique aspects in each faction as well as similarities between the lot, but this is something a lot of strategy games has so it is not entirely bad.The game looks and feels decent, the gameplay is fluid although some polish there can make it better. The biggest issue is the controls and lack of strategic actions, such as defend, or follow; actions like these usually accompany games with elements such as can be enjoyed in this game, the lack of these features really makes this game a burden and it quickly annoys the player when you have to manually set them to or move them to new areas, so these simple little features can improve this game so much. The game requires a bit of polish in a few other areas too, general things that will just improve the overall quality of the game.Another big thing the game lacks is content, the game runs and plays quite well, it is fun and it is enjoyable, the story lines are pretty decent and the gameplay is really fun, but the game feels kind of short and quite empty on the replay value side of things, if the developers goes far as to add some extra content and even some form of side quests to the game it will truly enhance the game to a indie gem status, as it stands the game is cheap and very worth it, i just want more to it, good space games is already rare so when we do find one having some extra joyous hours in it would be amazing.. I really like this game but there are some bugs that I seem to have like when I acclerate the game I can not move units without pressing M instead of just double clicking. Also sometimes when the game starts out I get thrown into a battle that I cannot win and lose most if not all my ships before I can retreat. I dunno if thats a bug or I just get unlucky. But yeah with a few updates and bug fixes I think it can be a good game.. crappy... the idea was cool but... well the mere fact you cant zoom in properly is baffleing to me.. most games youd be able to hold down your scroll wheel and swivel the camera around not here... I feel like Im playing the entire game from a tactical prespective so they can skimp on the graphics and just make the back ground look pretty. the game "FTL" Is hounestly far FAR better then this and if you had combat like the pictures up there^ and could zoom in then it MIGHT make it at least semi decent... withen half an hour your likely to have found all the events and they dont change... just jump survive mine/kill blah blah blah what ever move on... that is the ENTIRE game... the game star wars rebelion made in 1998 had more in depth events and creativty and that is a massive shame. intersting idea but fell short on well tbh, tatics, units, events, combat,graphics... oh wait no... the gack ground looked nice I guess?
